Priced at $24.99 USD, these BSG notebooks from ANOVOS should’ve been available for the Cylons. According to them, “If the Cylons have a frakkin’ plan, they should have written it in here.” The books feature 120 pages, feature faux leather (plether) covers that come in blue or red, and a built-in cloth bookmark.

Battlestar Galactica Triad Playing Cards

If you’ve ever wanted to play Triad (or at least played with the hexagonal cards used in the new series) then look no further, the Triad cards from ANOVOS are now available on ThinkGeek as well! These cards are a standard 52 card deck with 4 suits, and also features two Cylon jokers to boot. Instructions are provided as separate hexagonal cards, with a link to the PDF version as well.

Cylon V-Neck Babydoll T-Shirt

Bif Bang Pow! and NBCUniversal announce a new partnership to launch a brand-new line of toys and collectibles based on the legendary sci-fi television series Battlestar Galactica.

Based on the “classic” series that first aired on network TV in 1978, the Battlestar Galactica collection from Bif Bang Pow! will feature an array of articulated retro action figures, as well as bobble heads, each guaranteed to have fans looking over their shoulders for Cylons as they imagine themselves back aboard the Galactica. Various fan-demanded Battlestar Galactica themed collectibles such as license plate frames, tin boxes, coasters, snow globes, and glassware will be produced as well.

Reminiscent of the bestselling “Mego” style action figures of the 1970s and 1980s, Bif Bang Pow!’s amazing line of classic Battlestar Galactica action figures will continue a successful partnership with EMCE Toys, the team responsible for bringing that classic style back since 2006. These figures will stand 8-inches tall and include episode-specific fabric clothing, in addition to multiple points of articulation.

Battlestar Galactica (BSG) is an immensely popular franchise of television series and sci-fi films, the first of which aired in 1978. Books, comic books, and video games followed. In Battlestar Galactica, The Twelve Colonies – a civilization of human beings in a far-off sector of the universe – are at war with the cybernetic Cylons. The Cylons lay waste to The Colonies, decimating their worlds and populations, and the survivors flee aboard any spacecraft they can find, including the Battlestar Galactica, the only military ship in the Colonial Fleet to survive the Cylon attack. Battlestar Galactica’s renowned commander and his crew then lead the ragtag flotilla of survivors in search of a new home, the mythical planet Earth.

Bif Bang Pow!’s other action figure lines include Dexter, The Twilight Zone, and the classic Doctor Who, and are typically sold through Entertainment Earth and other online retailers.

Since this was said on NBC’s The Office more than a couple of years ago (yes, it’s been that long… some of us feel old), this saying has been on t-shirts, mousepads, and Gods know what else.

The newest BSG case now being offered is a photo of a distressed Colonial Phoenix and ring emblem as photographed from the wing of a Mark II Viper. The second is one of Laura Roslin (Mary McDonnnel) at the fountain of the Riverwalk Market on Caprica (as seen in the series finale “Daybreak”), after finding out that her sisters and father were killed in a car accident.

These stunning cases are available for a limited time as they are part of limited runs, and are priced at $41-42 USD. They may be purchased via RedBubble.com exclusively, along with other offerings from DenDen.

Well, you get the “Oh My Gods! They Killed Cally!” t-shirt that she will be debuting at this year’s New York Comic Con.

The shirts are slated to retail at $20 USD, and will later be available for sale on Nicki Clyne’s official website. They are apparently available in both men’s and women’s sizes, which haven’t been directly specified.

Initial “First Looks” at Grimm, featuring Caprica‘s Sasha Roiz

The former Tauron hitman is featured in NBC’s Grimm, which will debut alongside the final season of Chuck on Friday, October 28 at 9 PM/8 PM Central. Broadway World has a video clip for a first look at Grimm — a detective drama set in Portland where events from Grimm’s Fairy Tales occur, and it’s up to an elite line of criminal profilers called “Grimms” to keep the balance between humanity and mythological creatures.

Originally, Grimm was slated to air a week earlier, but NBC chose to debut them shortly before Halloween. As Airlock Alpha noted, Fridays have not been kind to many network TV shows — save those on CBS — and so Grimm may be an accurate word to describe Grimm‘s future as a TV series.

Cast and Crew Updates

In addition to Roiz’s Grimm TV series and Edward James Olmos on this season’s Dexter, various Battlestar Galactica and Caprica actors have been busy in the world.

• Ben Cotton (BSG: Blood & Chrome) appeared in “Heathers,” the fourth episode of CW’s The Secret Circle. 
• Caprica‘s Scott Porter has a new series, Hart of Dixie, which airs Mondays at 9/8c on The CW. The first two episodes of the series are available on The CW’s website.
• Alessandra Torresani’s (Caprica) newest horror film Playback has a U.S. distributor, and will be released in March 2012.
• Judas Kiss, the indie film featuring Caprica‘s Richard Harmon and Genevieve Buechner, will be picked up by French distributor BQHL for a future release of the film. Judas Kiss will be released in both the UK, Ireland, and Germany in November 2011. The film was released in America on October 25 and is available on Amazon.com.
• Michael Eklund, who appeared briefly in the Miniseries as Specialist Prosna, will have a recurring role in FOX’s Alcatraz. (The series is not mentioned by name in The Province‘s report, because it is likely undergoing a name change.)
• Caprica‘s and Sanctuary‘s Polly Walker will make an appearance on USA’s Psych.
• BSG‘s Ryan Robbins and Christopher Heyerdahl (Stargate, Caprica) will be seen with Brian Markinson on Syfy Channel’s Sanctuary.
• Caprica‘s Esai Morales has an exclusive interview with Magic Image, where the former Caprica star discusses his career, as well as working on Edward James Olmos’s Stand and Deliver.
• Caprica‘s Jane Espenson was interviewed by i09 for their article on “How to Make Horror and Dark Fantasy Work on Television,” alongside Supernatural‘s Sera Gamble, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles‘ Josh Friedman and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine‘s Robert Hewlett Wolfe.
• Espenson was also involved in the Geek Girl Con in Seattle, Washington this weekend (Oct. 8 & 9). The event was held at the Science Fiction Museum where the Battlestar Galactica exhibit is presently located. Val of Vancouver, BC’s Battlestar club The 13th Colony was on hand to take photos of the panels that Espenson attended.
• A video interview with BSG‘s Luciana Carro was released last week, where she discussed Battlestar Galactica as well as her character — including her character’s death in “The Passage.”
• Edward James Olmos also wrote an article for Huffington Post regarding the cleanup of the Gulf Coast following the Oil Spill, and how the disaster continues to affect both people and the environment.
