It’s great to have Edward James Olmos once again on TV on a weekly basis, with his role on Showtime’s DEXTER. But as wonderful as that is, it’s even more wonderful to see what he does when he’s off the screen.

In addition to being an Oscar- and Tony-nominated, Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning actor, Mr. Olmos is also a tireless activist. He often lends his face, presence, and voice to causes that move him to action and touch his heart.

As the webmaster of OlmosPerfect.com, a fansite dedicated to his life and career, I am often reminded of how much time and energy he expends in service of others and for the betterment of our world and humanity.

Over the last couple weeks, I have made several updates that showcase exactly that part of Mr. Olmos’ life, and I think, if you take a look, you’ll see what I mean when I say he’s not only a talented actor, but an amazing human being:
